D-Link AC3200 ultra Wi-Fi router (DIR-890L/R), is a triband router that can support up to 6 antennas. It's elegantly finished in shiny red. Because it is unique, it can be used as the heart of a gaming setup. It is large, as are all tri-band routers. It is also quite expensive, as it is one of the fastest in its category.

D-Link AC3200 Ultra Wi Fi Router Design and Features

D-Link AC3200 is shaped almost like a pyramid and coated in satin red. It has six external antennas. The top of the unit has 6 LED indicators that display the activity of all USB ports, as well as the 5GHz and 22.4GHz statuses, and also the power and internet-connection status. One internet port, four Gigabit Ethernet ports and two USB ports (2.0 and 3.0) are located at the rear. There are also reset buttons and Wi-Fi. Under the hood, you will find a 1GHz dual-core processor and the circuitry necessary to support wireless networking with 802.11b/g/n/ac.

The Home Page

Logging in to the UI, or Web user interface, will bring up a Home page that displays all connected clients, Internet status and Sunnet Mask information. It also shows the IP address of your router. You will find the Setup Wizard on the Settings page. This wizard allows you to set up Wi-Fi networks and settings, as well as create your router password.

You can choose from a variety of connections via the Internet page.

You can set the device modes, such as access point or router. You can also set up DIR-890L/R’s Network page and settings for DHCP, IPv4/IPv6 multicast and UPnP.

The QoS (Quality of Service) drag-and-drop feature makes it easy to assign bandwidth priorities. Click on each connected client and drag it to the appropriate priority box. This could be a Highest, 2 High boxes or 8 Medium boxes.

You can also access additional features such as IPv4/IPv6 firewalls, anti-spoofing, PPTP, IPSec security settings and Website Filtering. The Management page allows you to set the date and hour, view system logs, create email notifications, and review data transmission statistics for wired and wireless networks.

D-Link AC3200 offers users a web-based console, which makes it very simple for users to set up and configure their routers.

Verdict

D-Link AC3200 ultra Wi-Fi router is unbeatable in terms of throughput speed. This router is a marvel of design and performance. It offers almost all features you would expect from a tri-band router.
